About Ground Ivy/Wild Violets
Ground Ivy and Wild Violets are not broadleaf weeds. They are plants that spread by rhizomes underneath the soil. The waxy coating on the leaves of these plants makes them very difficult to control. In small quantities they can be suppressed by our weed control programs, but if they have begun to take over your lawn, we offer a program with supplemental treatments when the plant is at its weakest (when flowering in Spring & after frost in the Fall) that will combat the problem.
